Memorabilia Framing FAQs

  • Shirts come in all shapes and sizes, that’s why our bespoke framing is ideal to ensure your frame is in the correct proportions. The size of frame will also depend on whether you have additional items included in with the shirt.

  • If possible, give your shirt a gentle wash and light iron or team before sending it to us. In some cases, this is not recommended, especially if the shirt is signed or match-worn. We will handle all shirts with care.

  • Our box style frames are ideal for this, you can combine your shirt with photos, tickets, badges, programmes, or any other memorabilia to create a truly unique frame.

  • It’s all personal preference and a lot will depend on the colours in the shirt/pieces being framed. We help guide you through the options and advise what colour ways we feel would work best.

  • Both styles look great, again it’s personal preference. Having the sleeves laid out will make the overall frame bigger, so if wall space is tight, we would recommend folding them in for a neater look.

  • With the right materials, long term fading can be kept to an absolute minimum, we always recommend not to hang your frame in direct sunlight. If you are concerned about possible light damage, please let us know and we can advise on protective UV glazing options available.

  • We use invisible specialise mounting techniques, including stainless steel pins and hand stitching, that hold the shirt securely without causing any damage to the fabric. We never use staples or adhesives directly on your shirt, which means your shirt will remain in its original condition.

  • Yes, always. All our backing boards and mounts are acid free, which will protect your shirt from yellowing or deteriorating over time.

  • Signatures are handled with extreme care throughout, we avoid all contact with signed areas and there is the option of using UV protective glazing to prevent ink from fading, if you are concerned please do mention it to us and we will be sure to advise you on the best approach.

  • Yes, all shirts in our care are fully insured throughout the framing process.

  • We recommend sending your shirt and any used items to us by recorded, trackable post. We will confirm with you once we have received it safely in our hands.

    We’re quite used to arranging framing by email or phone, we can have the conversation regarding your requirements and send you photos of suggested colour ways and layouts for your approval before we start.

  • Our standard turnaround is 10-14 working days from receipt of your shirt, if it’s required sooner we will always work towards deadlines where possible.

  • If we don’t have one of our branches close to you for collection, we can dispatch by tracked and insured couriers. All our frames will be wrapped in protective packaging, we recommend choosing acrylic glazing option for frames being couriered, the delivery is usually around £25 for UK delivery.

  • Your satisfaction is our priority, if you’re not completely happy with the finished frame just let us know, and we will make it right for you at no additional cost.
